Phillip Island Nature Parks (the Nature Parks) is committed to promoting and protecting the interests, wellbeing and safety of children. We have zero tolerance to child abuse. Everyone at the Nature Parks is responsible for the care and protection of children and reporting information about child abuse.
We facilitate the prevention of child abuse occurring within the Nature Parks by:
- Fostering an organisational culture of child wellbeing and safety.
- Setting high standards for supervision and oversight in all Nature Parks activities involving children.
- Providing guidance to employees/volunteers/contractors as to the actions that must be taken where they suspect any abuse within or outside of the organisation.
- Ensuring compliance with all laws, regulations and standards relevant to child protection in Victoria.
