A day of Extreme Fire Danger and Total Fire Ban has been declared for Thursday 13 February for the greater Melbourne region including Phillip Island.
To stay safe, please take the following action:
- Stay alert and keep updated with messages from the VicEmergency app.
- Do not use fire for any purpose (including cooking).
- Avoid visiting heavily vegetated areas.
Phillip Island Nature Parks attractions including the Penguin Parade will remain open to visitors.
Our staff will stay constantly updated about the fire risk on Phillip Island. Visitors will be advised of any changes to operations.
Phillip Island is a wonderful place to explore. For your safety, please pay attention to signage and regulations. Stay away from cliff edges and the base of coastal cliffs (do not sit or stand within 10 metres). |
